    For You Page (FYP)

The For You Page (FYP) is TikTok's main feed of algorithmically recommended videos. It is the single biggest source of new-follower growth on the platform. Landing on the FYP requires high engagement velocity, completion rate and re-watch behaviour in the first 30 minutes after posting.

The FYP algorithm runs three checks before pushing your video to a wider audience: completion rate (did people watch the full clip), engagement rate (did they like, save, share or comment), and watch time (total seconds across all viewers). All three must beat the niche baseline.

Buying followers without buying engagement is the fastest way to lose FYP distribution. The algorithm reads a sudden follower spike with no engagement boost as 'fake account' and demotes future posts.

The reverse is also true: buying engagement on a small account triggers an evaluation cycle that can land you on the FYP organically, because the velocity signal is what matters most.
