    FYP Algorithm

The FYP algorithm is TikTok's machine-learning ranking system that personalises the For You Page for every user. It scores each video on completion rate, rewatch rate, share rate and watch-time-per-impression, then progressively widens distribution as long as scores stay above tier-specific thresholds.

TikTok tests every new video on a small slice of users (typically 200–500 viewers). If completion and engagement scores cross the tier-1 threshold, the video is shown to a larger pool. The cycle repeats up to 5–7 tiers before plateauing.

Completion rate is the single most weighted signal. A video that holds 80%+ completion at every tier can compound to millions of views without any other signal being exceptional. Hooks in the first 1.5 seconds dominate completion rate.

Buying TikTok views and a small likes pack works as an algorithmic accelerant: it pads the test-tier scores enough to reliably clear the first 1–2 thresholds, after which organic reach takes over if the content is strong.
